Febs Fabby Weather & Busy Bee Month

How fabulous has the weather been!! The garden has really started to blossom with the daffodils and tulips coming out earlier than usual due to the weather being surprisingly good.

This has really helped as we have just had the busiest February for new bookings to date. We are now fully booked for weekends in Summer 2020 and 2021 isn’t far behind… Read More

New Year, New Projects!

The WG team hope you have all had a relaxing time off work celebrating the New Year (hopefully not drinking tooo much!).

As you know, we ‘shut down’ between January to the beginning of March to do maintenance work on the marquee and give the garden a good sorting out. Each year we have a big project and this year is the flooring. After some long discussions, the team decided to take on…Read More

Christmas – Midnight in Marrakesh

What a crazy end of 2018 we have had. Starting from the end of November we have hosted 12 Christmas parties with our Midnight in Marrakesh theme.
Every night was a success with so many compliments on the food, entertainment and decoration. The Marrakesh theme has…Read More

Winter Market

The Walled Garden hosted the annual Winter Market organised by Fabulous Places. It was by far the busiest market we have ever had. As soon as the doors opened the marquee was full of guests (and even lots of cute dogs!). There was a lovely bunch of suppliers who sold everything from…Read More

New Head Gardener

If you remember back in August we started to advertise for a new head gardener. Well, at the beginning of the month Melisa started full time in the garden. She has a great past in gardening and she has already brought so many new ideas…Read More

Christmas Launch

Yep we are talking about Christmas!
We launched our Christmas party theme Midnight in Marrakesh. We took 3 days to set up the mini set up for the launch event.
Julia from Curious Magpie came on the Monday to help start us off the decorating. She started on the ceiling above the dance floor whilst we started cutting fabric for the tables and getting all the decorations we have already together. By the end of the first day, we could…Read More

The Garden

Due to the weather being so warm this year, we have been working hard to keep the garden looking beautiful. We have also made a decision that we are going to employ a full time gardener. The outdoor space is a very important part of the venue and we want it to look its best all the way throughout the year. In our busy season, it is always a struggle to maintain all areas of the business and this year we…Read More

JULY 2018

Wonderful Weather!

What a fabulous July we’ve had! The hottest (possibly too hot!) July the UK has had in years and we feel so lucky that as a venue we could enjoy it everyday. Every bride and groom leading up to their wedding worries about what the weather will be like on their big day as the UK is so unpredictable. However, this month they were all extremely blessed to have the beaming sun throughout their day and through….Read More

JUNE 2018

Laura Alison Photography

Laura Alison popped in to see us at the end of May to take some wonderful pictures of the Walled Garden. It is always nice getting new photographers in to take pictures of the venue as they find different areas and angles of the garden and marquee. The photos got sent through at the beginning of June and we are amazed at what she sent! Alison is incredibly talented and got some gorgeous shots of the….Read More

MAY 2018

Apple Cottage

On the 1st of May we decided to go for a wonder around our beautiful grounds at Beeston Fields. Myself (Emily) and Ella had never really gone outside the walls of the Walled Garden so we decided to go and explore with Emma. The sun was shining down on us and we had a lovely hour finding loads of hidden gems of the venue.

Through the little green gate, behind the walls of the venue there is a small house called Apple Cottage which has been abandoned Read More...

APRIL 2018

The Garden

Spring has FINALLY arrived!

We were getting a little bit concerned with our English weather at the beginning of the month because we had been getting a lot of snow and a lot of rain (typical England really) but it was putting a delay on our gardens! However, in the past week or so, the garden has started to evolve. The hedges are becoming more green and we are seeing more pops of colour coming through Read more….

MARCH 2018

We started off March with our Set Up & Showcase event.
