New Head Gardener
If you remember back in August we started to advertise for a new head gardener. Well, at the beginning of the month Melisa started full time in the garden. She has a great past in gardening and she has already brought so many new ideas…Read More
Yep we are talking about Christmas!
We launched our Christmas party theme Midnight in Marrakesh. We took 3 days to set up the mini set up for the launch event.
Julia from Curious Magpie came on the Monday to help start us off the decorating. She started on the ceiling above the dance floor whilst we started cutting fabric for the tables and getting all the decorations we have already together. By the end of the first day, we could…Read More
Due to the weather being so warm this year, we have been working hard to keep the garden looking beautiful. We have also made a decision that we are going to employ a full time gardener. The outdoor space is a very important part of the venue and we want it to look its best all the way throughout the year. In our busy season, it is always a struggle to maintain all areas of the business and this year we…Read More
What a fabulous July we’ve had! The hottest (possibly too hot!) July the UK has had in years and we feel so lucky that as a venue we could enjoy it everyday. Every bride and groom leading up to their wedding worries about what the weather will be like on their big day as the UK is so unpredictable. However, this month they were all extremely blessed to have the beaming sun throughout their day and through….Read More
Laura Alison Photography
Laura Alison popped in to see us at the end of May to take some wonderful pictures of the Walled Garden. It is always nice getting new photographers in to take pictures of the venue as they find different areas and angles of the garden and marquee. The photos got sent through at the beginning of June and we are amazed at what she sent! Alison is incredibly talented and got some gorgeous shots of the garden from angles we have never seen before. We would highly suggest Alison if you are looking for a wedding photographer. Go visit our ‘Tool Shed’ to contact her!….Read More
On the 1st of May we decided to go for a wonder around our beautiful grounds at Beeston Fields. Myself (Emily) and Ella had never really gone outside the walls of the Walled Garden so we decided to go and explore with Emma. The sun was shining down on us and we had a lovely hour finding loads of hidden gems of the venue.
Through the little green gate, behind the walls of the venue there is a small house called Apple Cottage which has been abandoned Read More...
Spring has FINALLY arrived!
We were getting a little bit concerned with our English weather at the beginning of the month because we had been getting a lot of snow and a lot of rain (typical England really) but it was putting a delay on our gardens! However, in the past week or so, the garden has started to evolve. The hedges are becoming more green and we are seeing more pops of colour coming through Read more….
Set Up & Showcase
We started off March with our Set Up & Showcase event.
Imagine Events and Jo Beth Floral Designs decorated the venue for us. They did an amazing job once again and made the marquee look even more beautiful.
It was a very successful day for us with lots Read more….
February has flown by for us at The Walled Garden!
It has been a rather busy few weeks preparing for the venue for the upcoming wedding season.
We opened up a competition called ‘Changing Chapters’ where #TeamWG are gifting a wedding as a way of giving back to a deserving couple. We set a date of Saturday 3rd November (bonfire night!) for the wedding.
From appetising toffee apples, to blankets to keep their guests cosy, here is what we Read more….
Set Up & Showcase
Wow and we are in 2018, how time flies!
It has been rather busy in The Walled Garden and offices this month.
Our annual Set Up and Showcase event commenced on Saturday 13th and it was a huge success! We added a new twist onto the event this year.
We registered all our guests in the golf club with a glass of prosecco to begin with to showcase the Sun Lounge area in which you can have your ceremony and reception. Everyone then flowed over to the marquee where Read more….
